By car:

Use the postcode PH34 4EA and this should bring you directly to us.

From Fort Willam - Follow the A82 to South Laggan. and we are located approx. 1/2 a mile from Laggan Locks on the left hand side of the road.

From For Augustus - Follow the A82 to South Laggan, cross the swing bridge (at the end of Loch Oich) and we are located approx. 1 mile from here on the right hand side of the road.

By bus:

Just ask the driver to drop you off outside Forest Lodge Guest House, South Laggan.

 

On Foot (if walking the Great Glen Way):

(If walking from Fort William/ Gairlochy) On the latter stage of the route you will be walking along a tarmac road.  As you approach the end of Loch Lochy (past Kilfinnan) you will arrive at a junction where the road goes steeply uphill in front of you.  Do not walk uphill but instead go right and cross the cattle grid and walk down the road, passing by a row of wooden chalets on your left hand side (you should now be looking down Loch Lochy to your right).  Continue along the road until you reach Laggan Locks.  On arrival at the Locks cross the canal at the gates, turn left following the Great Glen Way signage and walk following the canal bank (past the Eagle Barge) and then through a wooded area (for approx. ½ mile) until you reach a small wooden bridge (do not cross this).  Turn right to face the main road (A82), turn right again and walk down the road (using the grass verge) for approx. ½ mile to reach Forest Lodge on the right hand side of the road (Once you pass the Great Glen Hostel you will see Forest Lodge in the distance). Please take care along this busy road.

(If walking from Fort Augustus following the Low Route)Follow the route markers out of The Great Glen Water Park. On reaching the A82, cross over the road and continue to follow the marker posts along the canal side. Follow the path until you cross a small wooden bridge. Turn left to face the main road (A82), turn right and walk down the road (using the grass verge) for approx. ½ mile to reach Forest Lodge on the right hand side of the road (Once you pass the Great Glen Hostel you will see Forest Lodge in the distance). Please take care along this busy road.

(If walking from Fort Augustus following the How Route - Invergarry link route )You will emerge from the forest track and reach the A82. Turn right following the pedestrian foot path over Laggan Swing Bridge – Ensure you are on the right had side of the road. Continue walking and you will enter back on to the Great Glen Way (following the marker posts) now walking on the canal side (with the canal on your right). Follow the path until you cross a small wooden bridge. Turn left to face the main road (A82), turn right and walk down the road (using the grass verge) for approx. ½ mile to reach Forest Lodge on the right hand side of the road (Once you pass the Great Glen Hostel you will see Forest Lodge in the distance). Please take care along this busy road.
