Welcome to Forest Lodge Guesthouse, South Laggan, near Spean Bridge
David and Alison Morrey extend a warm welcome to visitors at Forest Lodge Guest House, situated in the beautiful Great Glen of Scotland.
We took over the running of Forest Lodge in late August 2014 and our aim is to provide a friendly, comfortable, good value place to stay whilst visiting this lovely area.
We are ideally placed on the A82, 22 miles north of Fort William and 44 miles from Inverness in the small hamlet of South Laggan. We are just half a mile from Laggan Locks and the Caledonian Canal which joins Loch Lochy and the beautiful Loch Oich.
Forest Lodge Gardens
Three miles north of Forest Lodge the A87 at Invergarry branches off the A82 and proceeds through stunning scenery to the Isle of Skye, which can be reached in approx. 1hour.
Forest Lodge is a great location to stay when exploring the area by car, or to enjoy the many outdoor activities available locally including walking, canoeing, fishing, bird watching and mountain biking. There are two local Munros to be 'bagged' - Meall na Teanga (917m) and sron a'Choire Ghairbh (935m), on the northwest side of Loch Lochy.
The Great Glen Way long distance path runs close to the property and can be reached along a short walk by road, we are regularly used by walking agencies arranging accommodation for walkers along this scenic 79 mile route from Fort William to Inverness.
We are also able to arrange a pick-up service for canoeists from Laggan Locks on the Great Glen Canoe trail by request.
So whether you are planning an overnight stop or to stay a little longer, we would be pleased to receive a call or an email to discuss your requirements.
We are open from 1st March to 31st October
